Morning and afternoon sessions include learning about unique aspects of TCK identity, discussing transition issues, and preparing for what’s next after the seminar through lectures, experiential learning activities, and discussions. There will be time to share in small groups and one-on-one with staff. All of our staff have lived and worked abroad and have mentored TCKs in varying capacities. We encourage you to connect with these experienced staff and special guest speakers who have a heart to encourage and equip you. You will leave with new insights, affirmed for the unique and valuable person that you are.
Camp Activities Between Sessions
Each day there are a variety of camp activities such as ziplining, rock wall climbing, volleyball, swimming, football (aka soccer), and rappelling. There are also hiking trails to explore. If you prefer to hang out indoors, we will have games to play, crafts to do, and lounge areas to relax in. Look forward to hanging out with new friends as you share about your story.
We will go off-site one day for experiential learning opportunities in the Colorado Springs area. Enjoy the novelty of riding all together in a U.S. American yellow school bus!
Are you ready not just to survive, but to really thrive? For almost 30 years, Interaction International has been answering that question by preparing adolescent Third Culture Kids/TCKs and MKs, like you, through our Transition Seminars. The content is designed to be interactive, fun, insightful and if applicable, healing.
At the seminar, you’ll find a safe place to work through issues, talk about what’s on your heart and celebrate your heritage with like-minded friends. You’ll come away affirmed, encouraged and empowered as a unique, valuable person, to make choices that will enable you to have a profound impact on this world.
Primary seminar speakers include Interaction staff: Michael Pollock, Sheryl O’Bryan, Megan Norton, and Bret Taylor. Additional staff include TCK consultants who mentor, coach, and speak globally on TCK identity. We are excited to meet you!
Through Interaction's transition seminar, the lives of returning MKs/TCKs are impacted for years to come as they are helped to transition successfully."
