About

Our Mission

The mission of Interaction International is to be a catalyst and a resource working cooperatively in the development of programs, services and publications to provide and contribute to an ongoing flow of care that meets the needs of Third Culture Kids* (TCKs) and internationally mobile families.

Our Vision

Interaction International encourages member care, develops services and resources, provides training, and participates in worldwide strategic planning to meet the needs of–and promote quality care for–the internationally mobile individual.

"Today’s voice for Third Culture Kids and internationally mobile families."

Our Core Values

First, Interaction is committed to meeting the lifelong
needs (personal, spiritual, emotional, and academic) of
TCKs as children, adolescents and adults.

Second, Interaction is committed to being a catalyst and a resource in the development of programs and services to better meet the needs of internationally mobile families and TCKs personally, spiritually, emotionally, and academically.

Fourth, Because educators, caregivers, and sending agency personnel have a tremendous impact on the development of TCKs–and on the welfare of families, Interaction seeks to equip these people to work with (and within) this unique expatriate community.

Third, Interaction believes that TCKs are of great personal worth: They have tremendous ability to impact the world in significant ways because of their background and experiences as TCKs. Interaction works with educators, caregivers, and sending agency personnel to develop and strengthen the potential of TCKs.

And fifth, Interaction is committed to developing a flow of care; preparing TCKs and internationally mobile families for living and working overseas; supporting them while overseas; and, assisting them in transition and reentry.and TCKs personally, spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
