Cross-Cultural Transition Retreats

For more than 30 years, Interaction International has come alongside Third Culture Kids (TCKs of all sorts, and especially MKs), through our transition programs. Over 1400 TCKs have attended our programs in the past.  Now, we look forward to serving you and your family as we continue to help TCKs in their cross-cultural transitions.

Our program staff has decades of experience working with TCKs.  Their combined experience includes working and/or living in over 50 different countries.  They’ve lived or worked on every continent except Antarctica. Each one brings their knowledge and love of TCKs as well as their unique perspective to the seminar.

We welcome all teenage TCKs in transition to explore the stories of your journey.  We anticipate that you might be transitioning into your passport culture. You could be headed to high school, college/university, or work; no matter your destination, you’re in transition.  Your TCK background provides a strong foundation for necessary and sought after life skills. Our retreat will help you explore and solidify your understanding of your identity, belonging, and purpose.

Join us in Georgia and Texas!

We hold both our younger and older programs in the beautiful state of Georgia at Covenant College. We also started holding another Older teen program at SAGU in Dallas, Texas in 2022.

Program for Younger Teens!

We are pleased to offer a 5 day program specifically for TCKs who still have a few more years before high school graduation, or will be returning to overseas again. For those who will be 12-17 years old by July, this retreat will focus on more age appropriate issues.  We’ll leave talk of preparing for college and independent living for the other seminars. Instead, we’ll focus on the issues that matter to life in middle school and early high school for cultural transplants.

However, if this option will not work out for you, we regularly make exceptions for younger teens to participate in the older program.

The Original TCK Cultural Transition Retreat

For more than 30 years, Interaction International has been coming alongside Third Culture Kids/TCKs and MKs, through our Transition Retreats. We’ve had over 1500 TCKs attend our programs.
